On a recent trip to New York I made a stop at ground zero to pay my respects. I gazed across the site, then I looked over my shoulder on my right and I seen a man about my age with his head pressed to the gate, his eyes were closed as though he was praying. I thought to myself he must have lost someone that day. I never did say a word to him so I'll never know, but I kind of do know because my heart sensed his pain.

America will never forget, I will never forget what we lost that day and in the days since.

She still stands in the Harbor! Freedom Lives in this country, and always will.

This weekend was full of fun and relaxation, we headed North for an extended weekend near Traverse City. Our Journey took us to Leland Michigan (Fishtown). I was pleasently delighted. We had a very elegant dinner at a restaurant called the Cove, it was right on the waterfront.

Then we walked down to the beach and let MacKenzie play in the sand. It was like paradise, with a nice breeze, the sun gleaming off the aqua-blue water. I was just thankful to be sharing it with the two people who mean the most to me, my wife Amber, and my daughter MacKenzie.
